What is the contribution of human resource management to Economic Globalization?

 The concept of globalization refers to an increasing flow of goods and resources across national borders and the emergence of a complementary set of organizational structures to manage the expanding network of international economic activity and transactions. Globalization is expected to accelerate growth in developing countries. Globalization involves technological, economic, political and cultural exchanges made possible largely by advances in communication, transportation, and infrastructure (Sharma, 2019).



The human resources department needs to be updated to reflect the way businesses operate today. The HR department, or possibly a tad above and above what is normally expected in this field, was considered. Over the past two decades, employers have come to recognize the value of a workforce that is both adaptable and capable of meeting changing demands. The effective corporate human resources department has resulted in four areas: Managers at all levels were aiming to expand their collaboration. Employees' commitment and productivity will be highlighted when you urge for additional contributions toward them. Managers of human resources should take an active role in overseeing transformation and bolstering their organizations' adaptability to new ways of working (Santos, 2019).

Human resources is the organization's cultural development and improvement engine. A strong global organization must have a shared corporate culture. When operating in regions with vastly varied company cultures, a single set of policies and procedures will not suffice. However, it is challenging to establish a shared company culture. Countries around the world vary. Human resources is responsible for assembling a global group capable of creating a coherent business ethos. Human Resources is responsible for organizing mandatory classes for supervisors. Human Resources must encourage managers to enroll in the programs. They must learn the worldwide norms for business conduct and the historical context of the company culture to which they will be expected to contribute. Managers and staff members must effectively communicate with their international peers. Global decision-making is simplified by the uniformity of the group's mode of communication, method of problem solving, and sense of belonging. The human resources department should be the first one to go worldwide. In order to bring about a cohesive approach, it must implement internationally managed HR systems that are cantered on the cultivation of international talent. The first two HR procedures to be managed on a worldwide scale are performance management and talent management (Sharma & Sahu, 2014).



In order to oversee the performance of individual businesses across nations and to identify the organization's future global leaders, a unified and internationally controlled performance management methodology is essential. Human resources today are expected to think strategically about the company's future. Human resource departments today take a more holistic and outward-looking strategy, rather than focusing just on internal HR issues. Human Resources on a global scale can find the most qualified employees in every region of the world. Although it may be challenging, a truly global firm must have managers capable of juggling multiple tasks simultaneously on different locations. Strong global Human Resources are necessary for the identification of global leaders. Human resource specialists must be educated in global policies and managed from several centres of excellence located throughout the world (Santos, 2019).
